Henkel pursued digitalization leadership and, among various initiatives, selected the insect control category to finance an international Internet of Things (IoT) technology project.
Based on the consumer’s need to control their mosquito liquid evaporator device, an application and technology were developed that allowed complete management via mobile.
This project served as Henkel’s learning foundation for the development of Smart Wash, an automatic detergent dosing system controlled by IoT that optimizes the user experience by adjusting doses to specific needs with a high impact on sustainability. Henkel presented it at the CES in Las Vegas in 2025.
